Jaehyun “Huhi” Choi joined Counter Logic Gaming prior to the 2015 NA LCS Summer Split to help shore up their options in the mid lane. Huhi’s experience in Korea and the NA Challenger Series brought a new perspective to CLG, despite the fact that he never donned the CLG uniform for an LCS match in his first year with the team. After a year on the sidelines, Huhi has stepped up to serve as CLG’s mid laner, helping the team take their second NA LCS championship and 2nd place finish at MSI.
Huhi was often considered the weakest link of the team, but when CLG is running at their best, he’s more than able to step up to the plate. He excels when controlling the mid lane on mages like Aurelion Sol, Azir, and Cassiopeia. He showed flashes of brilliance last year, especially while forging galaxies as everyone’s favorite cosmic dragon. His performance at the 2016 World Championship left a lot to be desired, but Huhi has a chance to for redemption this spring. It will be up to Huhi to build on his experience and start making good on his potential. All it takes is one spark to light a flame.
