G2 Esports likes playing the villain of the EU LCS. After wading through the EU Challenger Series to secure a spot in the EU LCS, they aimed their aggressive playstyle at the best teams in the league. They shredded their competition like a late-game Kog'Maw, and they had fun doing it. They finished 2016 as two-time EU LCS champs. But they were brought down a peg at the 2016 World Championship, where they only managed a single victory in the group stage. They're out for revenge in 2017. With all five starters returning to the team, G2 will maintain the swagger that allowed them to dominate the rest of Europe. As Europe's top team, it will be up to them to restore their region's reputation this year -- even if it means going without a vacation.
