Your Rookie and Coach of the Spring Split are...

With Playoffs well into full swing, it’s time to find out who the top Rookie and Coach are for the 2018 Spring Split!

We are on the cusp of the Spring split Semi-finals and it’s finally time to announce our Rookie and Coach of the split!

Just a week ago we announced our All-pro teams for the split, and although the veterans dominant the standings, our Rookies this split have been in a class of their own. There were nine rookies who met the criteria to compete for this prestigious award and although our entire class put on a good showing, there was one stand-out performer.

For a refresher on how the voting process worked, check out our earlier article here.

1

IN FIRST PLACE:

Daniele "JIIZUKE” di Mauro - MID, VIT - 111 POINTS

Jiizuke has stormed onto the big stage and shown us one of the best performances out of any mid-laner in the EU LCS. Great mechanics combined with relentless aggression has made Jiizuke a player that you have to watch every time Vitality plays. He is the star player on a top 4 team in Europe alreadypure class.

Martin “Deficio” Lynge

IN SECOND PLACE:

Patrik “SHERIFF” Jírů - ADC, H2K - 52 POINTS

IN THIRD PLACE:

Tore “NORSKEREN” Hoel Eilertsen- SUPPORT, ROC - 41 POINTS

And behind every great player is the Coach poking and prodding them in the right direction. It takes an analytical and patient soul to be willing to coach a team and every single one of our nominees worked their hearts out. Here are our standout performers from the split.

2

IN FIRST PLACE:

Peter Dun - SPY - 77 POINTS

Peter Dun entered the LCS with a roster filled with talent, who nonetheless weren't able to find immediate success. However, over the course of the Spring split he transformed Splyce into an impeccable unit. For his accomplishment in unlocking their true potential, he deserves our Coach of the Split award.

Devin “PiraTechnics” Younge

IN SECOND PLACE:

Simon "FREDY122" Payne - ROC - 48 POINTS

IN THIRD PLACE:

Dylan Falco- FNC - 45 POINTS

Having guided Splyce to victory last week, I’m sure that Peter Dun is busy preparing for their match versus G2 this weekend in the semi-finals of the EU LCS. Make sure to catch all the playoff action, starting at 6pm CEST on Friday 30th March, on watch.lolesports.com.

Check back next weekend as we announce the award to top them all: the MVP of the 2018 Spring Split!
