Split Break Dates

When is the roster lock?

Roster lock is on May 23. This is the date at which Players and Coaches who will be eligible to play in Week 1 are locked in. Before this date, we won’t know full team rosters and things can change - though we expect less changes than the start of season roster madness. If teams miss this deadline for any Players, then they will not be eligible to start for Week 1.

Rosters and updated player profiles will be available on Lolesports shortly after the lock. We’ll need a few days to take some nice new pictures of each team. Additionally, any player who is signed to an EU LCS team will be updated on the official Global Contract Database.

What’s happening with MFA and FNA after they qualified into the EU LCS?

Both teams are required to sell their EU LCS slots as both Misfits Academy and Fnatic Academy are sister organisations with pre-existing EU LCS teams. We’ll leave it to the teams to announce their new ownership details and we’ll update lolesports after the roster lock on May 23.

When is the Group Draft happening?

The Group Draft will take place on May 26. There will be an announcement following the draft so you guys can find out the groups as soon as they’re selected.

Summer Split Hype

When does EU LCS start?

The EU LCS Summer Split will kick off on Thursday June 1 at 17:00 CEST. Broadcast days remain the same, with shows happening on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and some Sundays. The show will now begin at 17:00 CEST on each day, instead of earlier at the weekends.

When is the full regular season schedule available?

The full EU LCS match schedule will be available online shortly after the Group Draft once the groups are locked in.  Same as the recent Spring Split, we’ll be using flex scheduling for Weeks 5-9 so the weekly matchups will always stay the same but the days or times might shift.

What’s flex scheduling?

Flex scheduling allows us to adjust the schedule so that the most compelling matchups fall within the "primetime" viewing window. The weekly matchups will still be the same, but we may shift match order or days around as teams rise and fall in the standings. Regardless of any changes made, we will always attempt to uphold certain scheduling policies (e.g. no team plays multiple matches within a day, teams playing two matches per week don’t play on back to back days, etc).

What are the dates for Playoffs, Promotion tournament and Regional Qualifiers?

All post-season dates will be on the full schedule that will be released after the Group Draft.

What patch will the start of Summer Split be played on?

Patch 7.10

When can I get tickets for the EU LCS?

Tickets for weeks 1-4 are live here. Further tickets will be released on a rolling basis, so week 5 will go on sale after week 1 and week 6 after week 2 etc.
