LEC Summer Finals: Athens Community Activations FAQ – Teams and Sponsors

Get ready for Athens – as we detail what the teams and sponsors have in store for you.

With Week 8 of the LEC now done and dusted, there’s only a few weeks until the Finals kick off in Athens, Greece, and the clock is counting down to when the doors will open up at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens (OAKA) – and you can watch Europe’s top teams compete for glory.

We’ve detailed a brief overview of what will be happening outside of the arena, but read on here for a closer look at what to expect from the LEC teams and sponsors that will be in attendance in Athens.

The teams

Hang out with Origen right in their booth with none other than xPeke and Deficio. Get your selfies, signatures and chat all things League of Legends… and Origen.

Join up with the British squad and show off your skills if you think you have what it takes to go pro. 1v1 against Kasing, Hjarnan or Caedrel, and prove you can compete with Excel’s top talent – and take some swag home with you, too.

Misfits Gaming

Dance like nobody’s listening at the Misfits Gaming Silent Disco as the Misfits crew will be hosting a pop-up dance party where you can show off your dance moves. Look forward to giveaways, meet and greets, while you can play against the Misfits pros at the Alienware booth right next door as they’ll be competing in 1v1s each day.

Schalke 04

Head to the Schalke 04 booth and get the chance for a physical Polaroid photo with the LEC and Academy squads, or even just have a chat with them. Get in with high fiving Erwin, Schalke 04’s mascot, who rocked up at Rotterdam in Spring, and now he’ll be at Athens, too, with plenty of merch in tow.

Meet your favourite pros

G2 Esports

See if you have what it takes to take on the #G2ARMY challenge in Athens, as the clock will be on as you try and complete G2’s League of Legends ninja challenge. Speedy skills will be required, but don’t be slow if you want to catch G2’s top pros or Ocelote himself during their meet and greet.

Go Rogue with the LEC pros in Athens! Chill out with your favourite Rogue influencers and players, make memories with a photo or two, or just play games to win some merch – there’s plenty here for you.

Get your chance in Athens to hang out with the Fnatic pros, play Dr Mundo Baron Pit Tennis, and witness something the team has promised is super secret before the rest of the world...

Test your skills against Splyce’s pros as they’ll be available for 1v1s over the course of the LEC finals – and you can win some Splyce swag in the process, too. If you’re not feeling competitive, join the team in their photobooth, pop a selfie during one of their meet and greets, or keep an eye out on their giveaways.

The sponsors

Head over to the Alienware booth and check out the brand new Area 51m gaming laptop, as well as see eight LEC tournament-standard Aurora gaming rigs, all equipped with a Minion Madness competition. Compete against other fans to farm the most amount of minions in 10 minutes on Howling Abyss, and see if you can walk away with the glory.

The automotive manufacturer will be making its presence known in Athens, and you’ll get the chance to see in-person just what’s in-store on the ground.

Red Bull

Take on fellow Finals fans at Red Bull’s 1v1 station, where you can get exclusive skins, and a chance to play with – or be coached by – top LoL influencers.

Here’s a spin on your favourite consumables: down at the Beko booth, two teams of five fans will be pit against each other to reproduce health, mana or corrupting potions, all in smoothie form! The team that makes the best smoothies will receive LoL-based and Beko rewards – plus bragging rights, naturally.

Foot Locker

Get Finals fresh with a new trim and esports-inspired hairstyle on-site to look on-point for the big games of the Summer.

The Lion Cereals booth will be your one-stop shop for 1v1s where you can be coached by a former LoL Pro, or a LoL influencer. At the end of each game, the coach will pick the ‘best teammate’ and provide him or her with a prize – not bad, right?

Cosmote, our telecommunications and network partner and provider, will have a presence on the ground in Athens, as well as making an impact through all the games over the weekend: as all the gameplay during the Finals will be running through their fibre lines!
