Your MVP of the 2018 Spring Split is...

One name stood far ahead of everyone else in the MVP voting for Spring Split. Let’s find out who took the glory.

Joining Trick in the accolade of being voted MVP twice in a row, Rekkles is your 2018 Spring Split MVP! Now with two EU LCS MVP awards, as well as being voted as the #1 ADC in the EU LCS All-Pro team three times, Rekkles has amassed quite the collection of end of Split achievements!

In the Summer Split we called the MVP race a landslide victory when he scored 72 points with 49% of the participants voting him as their #1 MVP. Well if that was a landslide victory, this Split was a total wipe out! Rekkles totalled an astounding 118 points with 86% of the first place votes. As both the players and the coach from Fnatic could not vote for their own players that means only four out of 41 people who could have voted for Rekkles as their number one MVP chose not to.

If you dig into Rekkles’s regular season stats, such an uncontested MVP vote doesn’t only seem reasonable but deserved. He ranks first among ADCs in a deluge of different stats: KDA, kill participation, kill share, death share, damage per minute, CS per minute, CSD@15, and the list goes on. It’s important to note that Rekkles isn’t just first in all these stats categories - most of the time nobody else even comes close to vying for the first place spot.

And folks, remember Rekkles is the only AD CARRY, everyone else just plays Marksman.

While last season Fnatic's clear focus on Rekkles is what escalated him to the MVP level, this season it was Rekkles's flexibility and consistency that made him the front runner. Not just a side lane split pusher anymore, Rekkles has shown that he can play whatever the team needs from him at a top level, making plays and winning fights regardless of the situation.

It's rare that we see a player perform at a level above the rest consistently throughout a split. Teams will throw every ban they have towards Rekkles and yet he seems to never lose lane or fail to have an impact in the game. The face of Fnatic is the best player in the EU LCS.
