Daehan "Expect" Ki is coming into his own as G2 Esports' top laner. When he first joined the team last summer, he played the role of punching bag, absorbing blows in the top lane and allowing his teammates to carry. That playstyle was good enough to win the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split, but Expect wanted more.
Expect took big steps forward in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split, playing more carries in the top lane and doing his own share of damage. He went 8-1 during the regular season on Rumble, and his Gangplank helped G2 defeat the Unicorns of Love in the EU LCS Spring Finals. The next step for Expect? Taking on the world's best top laners at the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational in Brazil.
