Martin “HeaQ” Kordmaa bounced around Challenger-level teams for most of his career before landing the starting AD Carry position with Giants Gaming. He then signed with Ninjas in Pyjamas for a split with current teammate, Jun-Hyung “Profit” Kim. After that he joined up with ROCCAT at the tail-end of 2017 as part of their revamp before the 2018 EU LCS Spring Split. HeaQ showed dashes of brilliance coupled with moments of struggle, but overall had a commendable Spring Split that left him with a lot of room to grow.
He’s shown that he has the potential to hard carry games and going forward he’ll likely occupy a closer spot to center stage for ROCCAT after they battled to claim a playoff seed in the Spring Split. Even though they were knocked out early in the quarterfinals, that shouldn’t deter HeaQ’s growth as he looks forward to another successful campaign this summer.
