Former World Champion Eonyoung “Impact” Jeong isn’t quite ready to hang up the mouse and keyboard. The former SK Telecom T1 top laner put on a show in the 2016 NA LCS Playoffs, proving no other top laner in North America measured up. While his regular season was uninspiring, he almost singlehandedly earned Cloud9 a spot at the 2016 World Championship.
Unfortunately, Impact struggled to find his groove on the world stage. Cloud9 was the only NA team to earn a quarterfinals berth, but they were quickly eliminated by Samsung Galaxy. As the shield to Ray's sword, the dynamic duo dominated the competition in the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split. With such talent in the top lane, Cloud9’s opponents’ nightmares will be just two words, repeating forever: “top die.”
