Martin “Rekkles” Larsson is one of the most feared AD carries in the world. Rekkles debuted for Fnatic in late 2012 and immediately garnered attention with his performances at several major tournaments. He also played a key role in unlocking the door to the halls of the immortals for Fnatic, ushering in an unprecedented 18W-0L record in the 2015 EU LCS Summer Split. But after key departures following the 2015 World Championship, Rekkles and Fnatic failed to defend their EU LCS crown in the 2016 Spring Split, falling to the eventual champions G2 Esports en route to a 3rd place finish.Even though the reunion of Rekkles and Yellowstar didn’t produce the results that Fnatic hoped for, Rekkles still performed admirably throughout the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split, accounting for more than a third of his team’s overall damage.
After an exodus of players near the end of 2016, Rekkles stayed on board with Fnatic and helped assemble a new roster filled with crafty veterans and an eager rookie. Rekkles admitted to not performing up to his own standards last year, and the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split is the perfect place to reassert himself as a dominant AD Carry. He’s truly at the helm of the new-look Fnatic and will look to not only guide them, but carry them as well.
