One of the biggest surprises of the 2018 EU LCS Spring Split was the absolutely monster play that came out of Hyeong-Min “Ruin” Kim. He was so dominant that people started to wonder if he could carry Giants all the way into the playoffs. Unfortunately for Ruin, that wasn’t to be the case, but he did showcase just how high his skill ceiling can be.
He wasn’t able to maintain that level of dominance throughout the split, but if he got ahead, he had no problem stacking the kills and taking names. Giants will need him to play at a high level consistently if they want to have a shot at making playoffs this split. If he can help them accomplish that goal, it’s one huge step in the right direction.
