Erik "Tabzz" van Helvert has been on the professional League of Legends scene since 2011 (that’s a long time). He most famously played alongside wonderkid Froggen on Alliance before they rebranded to Elements and had an overall bad time. He’s since seen work in both the EU LCS and the EUCS, and when xPeke came knocking with an offer to play AD Carry in the LCS Tabzz jumped at the opportunity.
As one of only two players with substantial top tier experience, Origen will rely on Tabzz’s guidance in order to find success in 2017. Tabzz became the top choice for Origen because of his substantial in-game knowledge -- the fact that he can carry pretty hard didn’t hurt, either. He can also master any champion you throw his way, which allows for the team to have flexibility when the meta inevitably shifts. He’ll be as much a leader as he is a carry and Origen is going to need a lot of both come spring.
