G2 Esports likes playing the villain of the EU LCS. After wading through the EU Challenger Series to secure a spot in the EU LCS, they aimed their aggressive playstyle at the best teams in the league. They shredded their competition like a late-game Kog'Maw, and they had fun doing it. They finished 2016 as two-time EU LCS champs. But they were brought down a peg at the 2016 World Championship, where they only managed a single victory in the group stage.

They set out for revenge to start 2017. With their signature swagger in tow, they dominated their group in the EU LCS and took down the Unicorns of Love in the finals. As Europe's top team, it will be up to them to restore their reputation at the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational -- even if it means going without a vacation.
