Giants Gaming launched their first League of Legends squad in 2012 during the infancy of the LCS. They initially started an all-Spaniard roster, leading to GIA's portrayal as Spain’s premier Lolesports organization. However, in recent years they have branched out, adding players from a variety of countries. While they’ve have endured several shaky seasons, and were even relegated into the Challenger Series at one point, they always manage to fight their way back into the LCS.
After signing Giants’ EU LCS death sentence last year, Kublai "Kubz" Barlas is now on board as head coach. He started his career with compLexity in 2014 and has gone through several organizations such as Cloud9 and Fnatic. The most successful stage of his career came when he was in charge of the Fnatic Academy team, who qualified for the 2017 EU LCS Summer Split. Now, he’s looking to help make a strategic splash with Giants this summer.
