From the ashes they rise (Phoenix1, is that you?). Dignitas looked all but lost to the NA LCS after they failed to re-qualify for the LCS, and consequently sold their Challenger spot to Apex Pride. But the League gods had other plans for the organization. In September of 2016 it was announced that both Dignitas and Apex had been bought by the Philadelphia 76ers. .
The two entities were merged in order to play under a unified Dignitas banner, and thus a legendary League of Legends team was reborn. Sporting a roster mixed with domestic and international stars, Dignitas got off to a slow start but picked up steam near the end of the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split. Heading into summmer, Dignitas will look to build on their late-season success from spring -- let’s just hope they fare better than their basketball counterparts.
