For Team Vitality, the 2018 Spring Split as an absolutely wild ride. They impressed with creative strategies and wild shotcalling that put the rest of the league on notice. They have solid veteran leaders like Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet and Erberk “Gilius” Demir, but the big stories were their breakout rookies Amadeu “Attila” Carvalho and Rookie of the Split, Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro.
Their explosive playmaking lead to a playoff seed where they made it all the way to the semifinals before being knocked out by eventual champions, Fnatic. Now that the meta is absolutely bananas, there’s growing belief that it’s high time for Vitality dominate the competition. They’ve got the prerequisite ingenuity and confidence, now it’s time to execute.
